The Milwaukee Tool Marketing Internship develops our next marketing leaders. This challenging program will develop your leadership skills with training, support, and experiences with numerous aspects of the business. Get an inside look at managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio in some of the most exciting departments within the company (Brand, Channel, and Product). You will learn best-in-class practices in merchandising, marketing, sales, forecasting, relationship management, event planning, and gain first-hand knowledge about our customers.
These skills build a solid foundation as you navigate your career. As you progress through the program you will work on a team to build a final project proposal to be presented to the Executive Team of Milwaukee Tool at the conclusion of your internship. Which of your ideas will be seen in the next product launch?
Students that are a part of the Summer Marketing Internship will work cross-functionally with each marketing department but will focus on their assigned sector (channel, brand, and product) for the summer.

Take Part in Promotional Planning Process
Understand Different Conversion Programs Offered in Each Channel
Understand Channel's Role in the New Product Commercialization Process
Understand the Programming (Co-Op, Dating Terms, Rebate, Etc) in Each Channel
Brand Marketing Objectives
Build an Understanding of Project Planning & Management
Understand how Brand Interacts with Other Marketing Depts., Sales & Suppliers
Understand the NPD Brand Process and Commercialization Requirements
Gain an Understanding of the Importance of VBL
Digital Marketing and Exposure Through Media
Product Marketing Objectives
Know the Vigor Process, Key Tollgates, and Team Roles That Structures Milwaukee NPD
Collaborate & Understand the Relationship Between Product, Channel, and Brand
Develop Skills Setting Up and Performing Field Research
Build Presentation Skills and Product Knowledge in Different Categories
Understand Commercial Planning Process and Timeline
Develop a Deeper Understanding of Product Opportunity Assessment Process
What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
Student working toward bachelor’s degree, with major or minor preferably in Marketing, Econ, or Business
Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Must have good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
Ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-motivated
Solid analytical and technical skills
